Not a Cent

The idea for Not a Cent was born during the confirmation hearing of Michael Mukasey for Attorney General.  Even though Judge Mukasey refused to acknowledge that waterboarding is torture, his nomination was passed through the Senate Judiciary Committee, and subsequently confirmed by the full Senate.

While the politics behind Judge Mukasey's confirmation are not clear, one thing is:  it is imperative that our elected officials understand that this issue resonates with millions of Americans.  We do not want our government engaging in illegal torture.  We not only expect more, we demand more.
